Travel Information and suggestions
The closest airport is CMI, the University of Illinois Willard Airport. From there one would take a taxi to campus.
More often than not, flying to Chicago's O'Hare or Midway Airport is the most affordable option. From there, Peoria Charter runs a direct bus service to Champaign Urbana, with a stop in front of the math building (Altgeld Hall), which doubles as the conference location. There is also a train operated by Amtrak, going from downtown Chicago's Union Station to downtown Champaign.
Participants will be staying in one of several local hotels, including the Illini Union, Comfort Suites, and Hampton Inn.
For participants staying in the Comfort Suites, the best transport to and from the math department is the city bus 220 Illini: it is ~12 minute ride, and arrives very regularly, going from near the Comfort Suites and dropping off next to Altgeld Hall.
The scheduled talks will occur in the Math Department in Altgeld Hall on the UIUC campus. Registration and breakfast begins at 8am in AH 239, and the first talk begins at 9am in AH 314.
Participants are encouraged to set up Eduroam before traveling to UIUC, as this wifi network is also accessible across campus. Read here to set it up.
